With great joy, I discovered that I share with the homeowners—a couple in their 50s—a passion for unique details made from natural materials, recycled items, and vintage pieces full of history. To bring the project to life as envisioned, both within the set budget and time frame, they decided to split it into two stages: first, we focused on the bathroom and living room, and a year later on the kitchen and entryway.
Throughout the entire process, we worked in an open and positive atmosphere, turning every challenge into an opportunity to be creative and enjoy the journey. Our goal was to completely change the home’s atmosphere while preserving as many original pieces as possible. Thus, we optimized the initial furniture plan and restored several key elements: the original sofas were reupholstered, the wooden coffee table was restored, and the dining table and chairs were refurbished to seamlessly integrate into the new decor. Some of the decorations were kept after a careful selection and incorporated into the space in a way that added charm without overwhelming it.
To meet current needs, we designed new custom-made furniture crafted in a local workshop. Additionally, we introduced DIY projects and handmade creations made by the homeowners themselves, based on my sketches and suggestions.
Our shared passion for natural materials, DIY projects, and handcrafted details helped shape a modern space with a unique vintage charm. The result is a home full of personality, where contemporary elegance blends harmoniously with authentic details—a comfortable place where, no matter where we look or stop, we find something that inspires and brings us joy.
